KOKONO

Kokono was entered into the 2016 9 card Nanogame PnP contest. The word Kokono is derived from the Japanese word for nine

It's a 2 player game where you are trying to be the first player to get 3 tokens from your base into your opponent’s base across an ever-changing board (which is created from the cards which may be flipped to open up, or seal off, the paths to players' bases).

My aim was to create a 'classic, elegant feel' abstract game that was easy to learn and offered decision making and varying strategies with just enough randomness.

I was chuffed that Kokono was voted Best 2 Player Game in the contest.
