Rewild is now live on Kickstarter as part of the Arborea Expanded Universe campaign - and has funded in under 90 minutes!

The game is included in some of the tiers and is available as an “add-on” for others.

However, due to a Kickstarter quirk that the publisher missed, it is not possible to add add-ons to the £1 (Apprentice Tier) pledge.

So, if you want just Rewild, pledge at the £1 level then manually increase your pledge amount to £15 during the campaign - you’ll then be able to add Rewild with that credit once the Pledge Manager opens.

As officially announced at UK Games Expo last week, Rewild is going to be published by Alley Cat Games.

The game was actually signed with them last year and I've been developing it to include a 2 player variant.

The mechanics have pretty much stayed the same. As has the theme of shaping the land to create habitats for wildlife. However the game is now set in the world of Arborea, where you take on the role of a villager, carving out and protecting the ecosystems so that young animals can flourish and thrive.

Arborea is Alley Cat Games' popular worker placement euro game and Rewild's animals are the young of the animals featured in that game.

The Kickstarter for Rewild will include a mini-expansion for Arborea (additional animals and some cards). The game will be available after the campaign without the Arborea expansion.

I'm really looking forward to getting Rewild out there to a wider audience. The date for the campaign has yet to be set but you can get notified of the launch here: Rewild

Forage was nominated for best Solo Game and also for best Print and Play in the 2024 Golden Geek Awards.

Which means that it can now sport this smart badge 🙂.

The results were recently announced and I'm pleased to announce that the game was a runner up in the Print and Play category.

Creatures and Caverns was recently published in China by Banana games.

I've just received some copies and they look great - I particularly like the zipped wallet that the cards and folded rules sheet come in.

A selection of 4 of my games was recently crowdfunded in China. These Chinese versions are all boxed and include extra or upgraded components, such as drawstring bags and wooden octopus scoring tokens.

Google translates the titles as "Solo Snooker", "Otto the little octopus", "Blooming Garden" and "Breakfast is Crazy"🙂.

Orchard was recently reprinted to include Spanish (Melmac Games), Italian (GateOnGames), Chinese (Treetato Games), French (ABi Games), German (Board Game Circus), Dutch (Gam’inBIZ), Japanese/Thai (Mr. Dexker), Korean (Lotus Frog Games) and English versions for Australia (guf) and the US (GigaMech Games).

It was great to see all of the licensed copies together in one shot!

My print & play game Jellybeanstalk was picked up last year by the publisher Quick Simple Fun Games and they have been busy developing the game. It also has a new theme and is now called Squirrelin' Around.

It's still has the same dexterity mechanic but now also includes a set collection element. As you build the Magic Acorn tree higher, you position yourself to collect acorns. Can you prepare for winter better than the other squirrels?

The game will go live on Kickstarter on June 25th.

Raging Bulls recently appeared as a 'giveaway' in issue no.8 of the Italian games magazine ioGioco.

The issue was a roll and write special:(translation courtesy of Google Translate 🙂 )

Side Room Games have announced that they have signed Orchard to a publishing contract!

I'm really excited to be working with Dustin at Side Room Games - they are a publisher that actively supports the PnP community - and I'm looking forward to making Orchard available to a wider audience.

The game will be launching on Kickstarter on September 3rd.
