Switchboard
An abstract game of connecting telephone calls to their intended recipients.
The switchboard is made up of a 3 x 3 grid of cards, each showing different paths (electrical cords). Cubes/tokens representing the terminals of incoming calls and their recipients are randomly placed around the outer edge of the board. By moving the cards and cubes the player attempts to connect two terminals of the same colour (an incoming call and its recipient) with a continuous cord.
There are 3 rounds of increasing difficulty, featuring priority and emergency calls that must be connected first. To win the game all the calls must be connected within a certain number of moves.
Switchboard was my second entry in the: 2019 9 Card Game Print and Play Design Contest. It was voted 3rd Best Overall Game and was also deemed to have the Best Rule Book
